N.M. Freeman is a Rhodes University Alumna, with a post-graduate diploma in Journalism and a BA in English. Her other areas of study include political science and women's studies, but she has always maintained a personal interest in theology - in particular, the many ways in which people are affected by religion. She spent six years researching and writing the story of Q. The story is an exploration of religion and the affect religion can have on the human experience, in particular the way it influences our view of ourselves and others, life and death, and how it exalts or rapes meaning from these things. |

www.nmfreeman.wordpress.com N. "I would describe the story of Q. as a soulful, suspense filled tale that speaks to the human search for spiritual meaning and what appears to be our instinctual desire to seek to understand ourselves, some idea of God, and the world in which we live." Q. "I've heard that it blows religion out of the water." N. "Well, that will be up to you to decide, but ultimately, I see it as a complete and utter celebration of life." Q. "Who is the book for?" N. "Anyone who is effected by religion- which means everyone, because in some way we all are. Even an Atheist who insists they do not believe in God, first has to reject the idea of God as presented by religion, before they decide what they do or do not believe. It is a story for anyone who has ever prayed, or wondered if they should. It is a story for people who wonder... Q. "About what?" N. "If God and religion are the same thing." |
